We’re 5 years old, Happy Birthday to us!

Join us on a trip down memory lane in honour of our birthday.

Our story starts with love…

… as all good stories do. Anna and Jon, Founders and Directors of Appt, got married in 2012. Jon was freelancing at the time and Anna was finishing her languages degree at the University of Sheffield. When Anna graduated they joined forces to set up Bollinger Creative Ltd.

Appt Online Solutions Ltd was born…

… in February 2014, after Anna and Jon moved into BHL Towers as an embedded startup. Neill and Phil of Ask4 Solutions (formerly BirchenallHowden) fame were appointed Directors a month later and the Appt brand was launched. As Appt gained traction it also gained its first employee when Carl joined the team in August that year. Dom came on board a few months later.

One by one…

… the Appt team grew. Joy joined in January 2016; little did we know what that would lead to. A year later she went back to China with a degree and a dream, and in February 2017 she set up Appt China in her hometown Kunming. Back in the UK, the Appt team continued to grow as the Appt Office Fish moved in.

Appt China and Appt Social…

… came to be a few months apart; whilst Joy established Appt China, Line came onboard to help launch Appt Social - the social media and digital comms wing of Appt. Anna and Neill travelled to Kunming to attend the official opening of the Appt CN office, an event attended by dignitaries from the British Consulate and the local government.

We won best in China…

… at the Global Horasis Summit in Sheffield in November 2017, and it was an honour to be recognised for our work in China. It has been and continues to be an exciting journey!

Since then…

… the Appt Office Fish have all departed and the Appt team have worked on many challenging and fun projects. We’ve further developed the God for Kids app and we’ve helped Space to Breathe with digital communications and a new website. ADL Smartcare hired us to create their LifeCurve App and we joined forces with local Hallam University professor Peter O’Neill to develop the SelfieReg app, which uses image recognition technology to help universities keep track of student attendance.

We’re excited for the next 5 years!
