The Client: Fire Safety Specialists Ltd provide fire risk assessments, fire safety management, fire safety training, fire safety consultancy and additional services to clients throughout the UK.

The Challenge:

 

Fire Safety Specialists were operating a complex customised Share Point system comprising of a Staff Intranet for managing daily operations and a Client Portal for clients to gain access to online risk assessments and test calendars.

Whilst this solution was working, it required all consultants and all clients to be assigned a costly license. This limited the potential growth of the system and generated large monthly overheads. Fires Safety Specialists were also having trouble getting the ongoing support they needed from their chosen provider.

The Solution:

 

Appt designed and developed a bespoke system with all of the functionality of the old system and none of the unwelcome overheads. This enabled Fire Safety Specialists to:

Reduce their monthly expenditure on software

Customise the system to meet their individual needs rather than working within the limitations of the off the shelf solution

Make on-going changes to the system as business requirements changed over time. e.g. develop a mobile inspector’s app to accompany the portal

Gain a higher level of ongoing support
