The Client: Hanglung Properties manage a portfolio of world class commercial complexes in key cities across mainland China.

The Challenge:

 

Spring City 66 was launched in 2019 and is Kunming’s largest single multi-use retail centre. The complex is home to nearly 300 high-end retail, dining and entertainment brands including Gucci, Rolex and Jimmy Choo.

Hanglung’s design team, It Moment, wanted the launch of Spring City 66 to be interactive and allow visitors to play a role through the light show at the launch.

The Solution:

 

Appt worked with It Moment to design and develop an app which enabled visitors to control a light installation.

Visitors scan a QR code on the installation and are invited to follow Hanglung’s WeChat account.

When they have followed the account, they get access to the app which has a control panel they can use to manipulate the light display.

Future Projects:

 

Appt have continued to work alongside Hanglung and It Moment as they launch more complexes across the country. In keeping with the market trends in China, the next app controlled activation will use augmented reality to create an immersive and memorable experience.
