The Challenge:
Meridian’s application process involved an initial enquiry from a client, which was handled by a dedicated team of qualifiers.
The qualifier team would conduct an interview over the phone to produce a quick affordability assessment.
Following this, the client and their data passed on to a mortgage advisor who then brokered the deal.
Meridian required a developer to produce a web app system to be used by the qualification team to monitor and manage the process.
The Solution:
Appt developed a web app with two tier splits in order to simplify and modernise the application process.
Firstly, the system asks clients to fill out a prequestionnaire before speaking to an advisor, eliminating the phone interview process entirely and improving efficiency.
The more information the clients provide in the prequestionnaire the quicker the process is. Automated text appears to potential clients when filling out the form, prompting them to be as detailed as possible.
The prequestionnaire form links to an eligibility calculator developed by Appt. This calculator pulls all the data collected during the qualification process and determines whether the client is approved for a mortgage.
The second tier allows advisors at Meridian to use the back-end of the eligibility calculator to manage and monitor the qualification process.
From here advisors can raise questions to applicants about their answers and spot any potential mistakes in the process. This also allows the advisors to see what they need to do in order to move the application forward.
Ongoing Support & Development Agreement
Meridian signed an ongoing support and development agreement with Appt. Appt is working with Meridian in an ongoing capacity to further develop and maintain the system.
