The Challenge:

The Welsh Government China Office needed digital communications expertise to revitalise its digital presence in China. Their website and social media accounts were sporadically updated and needed long-term strategic vision.

The Solution:

Appt worked with the Welsh Government China Office to develop a 12-month strategy to refresh their existing social media accounts and increase engagement across all digital channels.

Their refreshed presence launched with a successful St David’s Day campaign, implemented by Appt, adapting and translating existing content from Visit Wales and This is Wales.

Appt has worked with the Welsh Government’s China Office since the start of 2023 to develop and grow their Chinese audience, managing their Chinese social channels and providing strategic recommendations.

Appt’s regular tasks include creating and adapting content, monitoring their social channels on a daily basis, and working with the China Office ahead of large events and campaigns to ensure the digital output is tailored to their Chinese audience.
